*Please note that this event is not at the MAH, but at Evergreen Cemetery across from Harvey West Park.

Make your mark and restore local Chinese history. Join the Evergreen Restoration Committee in a work day to celebrate the Chinese cultural holiday of Qing Ming.

Qing Ming is about honoring the departed spirits of your family members. This is traditionally celebrated by cleaning their grave sites and making an offering. The MAH’s Evergreen Cemetery Restoration Committee has been working for years to restore this historic site; this includes the recent addition of the Chinese Memorial Gate to the Chinese migrants who are buried in the Cemetery. The work day, which goes from 930AM-1230PM, will also include a talk by local historian Sandy Lydon.
