A Specific Weakness: Sculptural Works of Glenn Carter

Wednesday, September 2 2015 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm

Radius Gallery, Santa Cruz, California (831) 706-1620 1050 River St., Unit 127 Santa Cruz, California 95060

“A Specific Weakness” is an art exhibition that provides a visual stimulus for entering a state of questioning, or of confusion, or of clarity, or, perhaps, as a means of informing oneself about the way in which we view our perceived reality. The nature of the work is to be both beautiful and disorienting. Each is meant to encourage a wandering of the mind and psyche that leads to the creation of one’s own narrative about its meaning.

Exhibiting for the first time at Radius Gallery, Glenn Carter presents his most recent sculptural works. His use of materials is fully considered, his craftsmanship impeccable, and compositions are quite reverent. While the scale of the work feels and looks massive, there still lies an intimacy, or something private within the work.

EXHIBITION: September 2 - November 1, 2015 ARTIST TALK: September 20, 2015

Radius Gallery is open Wednesday – Sundays 12:00-5:00 and by appointment. FREE & open to the public.
